About Sam

Hi I’m Sam (she/her) and I was born and raised in Melbourne, FL. After spending most of my adult life living in Orlando, FL, getting my Master’s in Social Work, and working as a therapist at the University of Central Florida, I decided to return to my hometown to serve my community and be closer to family.

I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and I am diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder/ADHD. These are crucial parts of who I am and deeply inform how I show up as a therapist and as a regular human. I understand firsthand from my own lived experiences what it’s like to navigate a world that isn’t always built for neurodivergent minds or queer identities. Because of this, I’m especially intentional about creating a therapy space that is affirming, flexible, and free from judgment. I aim to provide a space where you can show up as your true authentic self, take off the mask, and leave shame at the door.

Outside of the office, I’m proudly nerdy and creative. My interests include Dungeons & Dragons (TTRPGs), video games, movies/tv shows, comic books, cooking, crafting, and reading. I believe storytelling, play, and shared interests can be powerful tools for connection and healing, which is why I love incorporating creative approaches and group work into my practice. (Yes, that includes Dungeons & Dragons Therapy Groups!)

At my core, I’m someone who believes people are doing the best they can with what they know, and there is always room to learn and grow. Whether you’re exploring identity, managing burnout, holding years of trauma, coping with depression or anxiety, navigating relationships, or just trying to feel more like yourself… I’m here for you every step of the way with compassion, humor, curiosity, and respect.
